At last! Thanks to Randy for the good news that Ruso and Tilla’s third adventure is now available for US listeners to download from Audible.com
The publishers Tantor also have it on CD. I’d like to think it’s also in All Good Bookshops, but possibly it’s only in selected Very Excellent ones.
(Apologies to anyone who can’t access items from American websites, to whom this is no use at all. ‘Ruso and the Root of All Evils’ will be out in the UK next spring and, partly due to snail’s pace at which I seem to be writing Book Four, publication dates WILL be better synchronised in future.)
Great news, mine is on order from amazon!
It is also available in MP3 format which is great for those of us who prefer not to have books on a ton of plastic!
I just can’t wait
Dave
Fantastic! You just made my week 🙂
It’s downloading from audible as I type this…
Thanks!
Thanks for the good news, Ruth.
I stumbled across a book recently that you might find useful addition to The Distraction Room. It’s called “A Day In The Life of Ancient Rome” by Alberto Angela. It’s a very interesting look at Roman life. I couldn’t help thinking about Ruso and Tilla while reading it.
Here’s a link:

Good luck with Book Four!
Mark
Thanks David, N (?) and Mark. Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks also to Mark for the book link – I hadn’t come across it before. (incidentally, the latest addition to the Distraction Room is Guy de la Bedoyere’s ‘Defying Rome – The Rebels of Roman Britain.’ )
FABULOUS! I have happy ears. I sent Mr. Vance an email as well, letting him know how wonderful his narration is. He is a perfect match for your books, Ms. Downie…I can’t imagine anyone else as Ruso.
Oh good Laurie, I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for letting me know. I haven’t heard it yet – guess the CD’s will turn up any day now.
I’ve just about finished the audio version of “Persona Non Grata” and simply do not want it to end. Will the adventures of Ruso and Tilla continue? I really hope so.
Thank you Fran – that’s really good news, and a tribute to Simon Vance’s reading.
As for the continuation – yes, there is a fourth Ruso and Tilla story currently under way. I know how it starts and how it ends. I just need to find out what happens in between…
