  1. And Merry Xmas to you and Andrew Ruth. I’ve mislaid my address book so I’m afraid I haven’t sent you a card.
    Hope all is well?
About 7 weeks ago, 42+ years after first being told it was necessary, I had my right knee replaced. The operation went very well I’ve been told although I’ve been rather less mobile!
    Best wishes

  2. Wishing a joyful Saturnalia to you, Ruth, and to all of us who enjoy Ruso’s adventures! We look forward to more of them in 2020, I mean MMDCCXXIII A.U.C.

  3. Oh Ruth I’m sorry to be so far behind in my wishes for a healthy and happy new year !! ( and a productive literary one hint hint). Much to be joyous here…#2/4 son married and a new baby on the way in August …my first grandchild!! I wish you and your family all the best

    1. And a very happy new year to you and yours, Mary, thank you! Congratulations on the impending grandchild – grandparenting is much more fun than I’d ever imagined.
I’m hoping for a productive literary year at Downie Towers – lots of ideas & research done, it’s just finding a way to put it all together… 🤔
